What we believe

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the unique, inspired infallible and authoritative Word of God for all matters of Christian faith and practice.

Scriptural Reference: 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Hebrews 4:12

God The Father

We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things, Lord of the universe, infinitely perfect and eternally existing as three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Scriptural Reference: Genesis 1:1,26,27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14

God The Son

We believe that Jesus is God the Son, equal with the Father, creator and sustainer of the universe. We believe in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ - eternally God, yet conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious suffering and death as an atoning sacrifice for our sins, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of God the Father where he now intercedes for us.

Scriptural Reference: Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; Colossians 1:15 – 17; 1 Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

God The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead and should not be regarded as a thing or a force. The Holy Spirit has Intellect, Emotions and Will.

We believe that the present ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict unbelievers, regenerate the repentant & the believing sinner, indwell, guide, instruct, encourage, correct, and empower the believer for godly living and service, evidenced by the development of the fruit and gifts of the Spirit.

Scriptural Reference: John 14:16-17; John 16:12-15; Acts 1:8; Acts 13:2; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 4: 30; Ephesians 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:10

We were created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him. Through disobedience, we sinned and became lost and alienated from God.

The life, death and supernatural resurrection of Jesus Christ provide the only way for reconciliation and salvation of all who repent, believe, and commit themselves to following the Lord in a life of obedience.

Scriptural Reference: Romans 6: 23; John 1: 12; Ephesians 2:8-9

The Church

We believe that the universal church is composed of all people who through faith have personally accepted God’s saving grace, and thus are united together in the body of Christ. All believers should be identified with a local church where the sacraments of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are observed, and the elements of worship, evangelism, discipleship, community, equipping and service are practiced.
