"...He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."
(Mark 10:14b)
As a ministry, we envision our children being 'STAR's. The acronym STAR captures the core purposes of the Children’s ministry, which means:
The Children’s Choir is a ministry that seeks to teach children, with ages ranging from 4 to 12 years old, to use their talent to praise and worship God and to minister God’s love to others through song. The choir performs at Swallowfield Chapel as well as other church and parachurch organizations. Rehearsals are held three (3) times for the month on Saturdays and Sundays. Sunday School is a ministry targeting boys and girls with ages ranging from 3 to 13 years old. It seeks to provide biblical instruction to the children using fun, dynamic and creative teaching methods. A safe space with loving and nurturing Christian teachers, its objectives are to present the gospel in order for them to become disciples of Jesus Christ and to encourage believers to experience God’s grace in their lives. This is done within the context of age appropriate classes on Sunday mornings. Our face-to-face Sunday School starts at 9am and our online Sunday School starts at 8am. Our annually held Vacation Bible School (VBS) is usually a week-long summer program for children of ages 6-12 years to learn about the gospel through fun, age-appropriate activities. Vacation Bible School is an outreach meant to bring in children who don’t normally attend church. As an evangelistic tool, VBS is one of the ways we fulfill the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19). A week of VBS usually includes games, snacks, crafts, skits, and, of course, Bible lessons. There is always a connection between God and the theme, allowing children to learn about God in a fun and creative way. Want to learn more about VBS? Contact us today!

At VBS, they are involved in engaging activities and presented with gifts, providing an exciting and memorable experience for them to look forward to from year to year. The event also has a family focus with parental sessions for the fathers and mothers. Want to learn more? Contact us!
